SmartServe helps event organizers, caterers, and wedding venues minimize food waste through intelligent prediction and management. Using historical data, guest counts, and menu types, our software forecasts how much food will actually be consumed at each event, allowing kitchens to prepare the right quantities. This reduces unnecessary overproduction, cutting costs and environmental impact. In addition, SmartServe offers a leftover management system: surplus food is flagged in real-time and can be safely donated to local charities, repurposed, or stored for later use. Over time, the platform learns consumption patterns for different event types, enabling even more accurate predictions. SmartServe targets a niche that has been largely overlooked weddings, corporate events, and catering halls where food waste is high but predictable. By combining data-driven insights with actionable solutions, SmartServe turns waste reduction into a simple, scalable, and socially impactful process, helping venues save money, reduce their environmental footprint, and enhance their reputation as sustainable businesses.

Problem: Large-scale events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and catered parties generate significant food waste. Kitchens often overprepare “just in case,” but estimates are usually inaccurate. The result is that 20–30% of food goes uneaten, leading to financial loss, environmental harm, and missed opportunities to help those in need. Despite the scale of the problem, few solutions specifically address food waste in the event and catering sector. Solution: SmartServe tackles this problem through data-driven prediction and proactive management: Consumption Prediction: Using historical data, guest counts, menu type, and event characteristics, our software predicts how much of each dish will actually be consumed, enabling kitchens to prepare optimal quantities. Leftover Management: Surplus food is tracked in real-time and flagged for donation, safe storage, or repurposing, reducing waste while benefiting local communities. Continuous Learning: The system learns from past events to improve prediction accuracy, helping organizers save money, reduce environmental impact, and run more sustainable, socially responsible events. By combining technology, data, and practical action, SmartServe transforms food waste reduction from a vague goal into a measurable, repeatable process.
