The Challenge

Online tutoring runs on chaos. A single lesson can mean juggling a video call, a whiteboard, homework docs, quizzes and a calendar, each in its own tab and on its own subscription. Tutors lose hours on admin and pay for tools that don't talk to each other. Worse, they only see final answers, not how a student got there. In a group of 15, nobody can watch every face. Who's lost, who's guessing, who has gone quiet? Those signals slip by, and students fall behind unnoticed.

The solution

Witly is one workspace for online tutoring. It brings together scheduling, built-in video calls, a live whiteboard, auto-graded homework and school management, with no commission on tutors' lessons. On top of that we're building an AI teaching assistant based on formative assessment. It reads the whole learning process, not just the result: time spent per question, answer changes, activity in calls and on the board. It flags engagement, confidence and weak spots, alerts the tutor live ("Bob has been silent for 30 minutes"), and writes post-lesson summaries and next steps for each student.
