Awal Baru Kita is an Indonesia-based community platform empowering students and young professionals to build their futures together. We believe growth happens best in community, creating spaces where ambition meets access and potential meets support. Our mission is simple: serve as a launchpad equipping young Indonesians with tools, mentorship, and meaningful connections to turn aspirations into achievements, while building resilience, friendships, and joy along the way. We operate through three core pillars: 1. Career Catalyst provides CV reviews, mock interviews, and cross-industry mentorship to strengthen job readiness. 2. Koneksi Kita hosts networking events and support circles that expand opportunities and foster authentic connections. 3. Common Table & Common Ground offers intimate mentor dinners plus wellness and volunteering programs to balance personal and professional growth. Unlike conventional career programs that simply prepare people for jobs, we cultivate purpose, inclusivity, and genuine community. Whether members aspire to be corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, doctors, or creatives, our vision is to create a supportive ecosystem where young Indonesians can dream boldly, grow meaningfully, and rise together. We're not just building careers; we're building the leaders and changemakers of future Indonesia.

Being young and ambitious in Indonesia often feels like navigating a maze with no map. The numbers tell the story clearly: 14.18% of Indonesians under 30 are unemployed, which is nearly three times the national average according to Indonesia's Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS, 2024). But behind these statistics are real people dealing with the stress of endless job applications, the loneliness of rejection, and the growing fear that their dreams might never happen. Even when young people do find work, many feel unprepared and isolated. They're expected to figure out their careers alone, with little guidance on how to actually succeed in the working world. Traditional career services focus on the basics like CV writing and interview prep, but they miss something crucial: young people need community and ongoing support, not just a one-time fix. This is exactly why I started Awal Baru Kita, because I believe that building a successful career shouldn't be something you do by yourself. Real career growth happens when you have the right skills, genuine connections, and personal confidence all working together. There are three main approaches to achieve this. First, Career Catalyst helps with practical job preparation through workshops, CV reviews, and mock interviews. But I also match members with industry mentors who can share real insights about what actually works in their fields. Second, Koneksi Kita creates networking opportunities that don't feel awkward or fake. I host themed events and support groups where people can build authentic relationships and help each other grow. Third, Common Table & Common Ground focuses on the personal side that most career programs ignore. I organize intimate dinners with mentors for honest conversations about work life, plus wellness activities and volunteering to keep people balanced and grounded. When all these pieces work together, something powerful happens. Members don't just get jobs, they build careers they actually care about. They don't just meet new people, they find their community. They don't just achieve their goals; they develop the confidence and resilience to keep growing throughout their entire career. The result is that every person who joins Awal Baru Kita walks away with three things: the practical skills to compete in today's job market, the relationships to support them as they grow, and the confidence to define what success means for them personally. I truly believe that career success works best when it's not a solo journey. When young Indonesians have both the professional tools and personal support they need, they don't just change their own lives. They become the kind of people who lift up their entire communities. Because when I build together with them, everyone benefits.
