The Challenge

Students often need a projector for one movie night, speakers for an event, or camping gear for a weekend. Buying these items can strain a limited budget and take up valuable space, while borrowing depends on knowing someone who owns them. Meanwhile, useful equipment sits unused nearby. The missing link is a convenient, trusted way to access it. Students need confidence that an item will be available and as described, while owners need reassurance that their belongings will be returned in good condition. Without that trust, sharing remains difficult and unnecessary purchases continue.

The solution

The Easy Loop is a peer-to-peer rental app designed for verified student communities, starting at Erasmus University Rotterdam. It connects students who need equipment with nearby students willing to lend it, helping renters avoid expensive purchases and owners earn from underused belongings. Our approach combines university email verification, clear rental terms, and convenient campus handovers to make sharing easier and build trust on both sides. We have built the first version using Lovable and are preparing for launch. Our ambition is to establish a reliable campus rental community before expanding to other universities and local communities.

Mission

Our mission is to help communities confidently share what they own, making everyday experiences more affordable and reducing unnecessary purchases.
